Detroit - St. Hugh Parish, Southgate, will also be closing this summer after the retirement of pastor Fr. Eugene Wojtewicz. St. Hugh will merge into St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Allen Park; the two parishes have been using a joint Mass schedule for some time. Mass will continue to be celebrated at St. Hugh Tuesday and Friday at 8:30 a.m., and Saturday at 4:30 p.m., until then.

St. Hugh will celebrate its last Mass at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, which will include a procession of the Blessed Sacrament from St. Hugh to St. Frances Cabrini, benediction and a reception.
